The Client
Rose Haven serves women and children experiencing the trauma of abuse, loss of home and other disruptive life challenges. Rose Haven’s mission is to maintain a safe, respectful community while providing guests with support and services to assist them in regaining stability in their lives.
Our Task
Rose Haven has grown immensely in the past couple of years, especially in services, volunteering options, and the number of guests (clients) being assisted. In 2022, Rose Haven moved from their sparse accommodations underneath a church to a cutting-edge, trauma-informed designed facility in the heart of Portland. The new website needed to reflect this growth and approach to hospitality and service.
The Result
In collaboration with Rose Haven’s development staff, DOWW rebranded the website to better focus on the organization’s trauma-informed designed facilities. This was achieved by using a softer color palette and gentler imagery to emphasize the organization’s fresh approach to mitigating the trauma of homelessness. Reprioritizing access to guest services and making community involvement more accessible has made Rose Haven’s web presence more intuitive and user-friendly.
This is DOWW’s fourth website creation for Rose Haven.
